In the process of establishing a community to help members find more rewarding and fulfilling careers, we noticed something that should have been more obvious.  People who are already busy working a job that they want to leave, and are busy performing all the tasks associated with conducting an effective job search in today's job market don't need or want the distraction of having yet another platform (Facebook) to check on a regular basis.  The help we were offering there could get lost among all the other distracting messages that appear there.  So we did the obvious thing and created a LinkedIn group called Exploring New Paths/Horizons:  Career Pro Guider.

A LinkedIn Group is different than a Facebook Group. The Facebook group is more focused on community and speaking directly to and among its members.  The LinkedIn group is a platform for other people operating in the career change space to share their content and interact with each other to create expansive professional networks, which we believe is essential to uncovering the best opportunities in the future.

So if you were not particularly enthused about joining the Facebook group for one reason or another, we have another option to interact with each other.  And if you already are a member of The Career Change Community for Technical Professionals and Knowledge Workers, you may still want to join the LinkedIn group, for the connection and networking benefits.
